In about 2,500 square feet of space on East 6th Avenue, here in Vancouver, I am a celebrity—at least right now, I am. That space is Convergent’s offices and I had to go there yesterday to pick up some of my birth mother memorabilia that I had lent to them.
It is quite something to go into a building
where there are lots of busy strangers are working hard and having all of them
expressing excitement about the progress of my screenplay in their development
process.
This morning I awoke with a clear vision of
a Christmas morning in the Tyrell home when I was a kid. It’s sixty years later
and still it induced a severe stress reaction.
The pleasure and pain of one's past.
