Consolation Prizes

I have won something much bigger and more meaningful than a Praxis scholarship. I've won a wonderful friendship. I am over-the-moon smitten with Warren and writing with him. I told him that yesterday when he asked what I thought of being tenth. I said losing the contest meant nothing to me but I was terribly afraid of losing contact with him. He is so fine. 

Besides, we have been offered another read, of our revised script. We've been offered an extensive written assessment.  A nice consolation prize.

So.... so far this week: Quit Emily Carr on Monday. Lost at Praxis on Tuesday. It's 6:45am on Wednesday as I write. I wonder what will happen today.
