Costumes: Woo F-cking, Hoo

These are costumes from and exhibition I went to see at LACMA in LA several years ago. You can see a film I made of them here. Now—be still my giddy beating heart—I am going to use them as a base for design of the costumes for Basil Follycroft-Proud and Lady Vivicean Ferret, two characters in my play, Trudeau, the Felons and Me. I have decided to build the set and costumes in paper and I am going to pitch this to Kim tomorrow at our meeting. I have found a website that sells such extraordinary papers, it is going to be awesome experimenting with materials and techniques to build costumes that begin with these beautiful shapes but go a little too far…..
