The Slow Life

Friday morning David, Lydia and I got off to a slow casual start: A lazy breakfast, a morning hot tub and lots of taking in the beauty of the da — there wasn’t a cloud in the sky.
They went into the village at eleven to do some shopping and I planted two Azeleas in their new containers. Then they came home to fetch me and we went to The Kitchen for lunch. It was my second meal out in two days; dining out is now a part of extended visits I like a lot. We are having so much fun —Lydia really loved the hot tub and Sheba. And David, too, is happy here. He’s remarked on how lovely it is here for guests and he has twice complimented me on the music I play.
Lydia made corn bread and a soupy veggie stew for dinner Friday night as I face a busy day today prepping for the dinner party. After dinner we watched TV and then we went to bed.
The only bummer of the day was a fairly challenging seizure.
Today will roll out casually. It’s another stunning day and my favourite day of the year: The first day after the switch to Daylight Savings Time. When I was a kid, today meant that after dinner I could go out instead of staying in my room to escape the Tyrells.
David and Lydia will probably go for another adventure like they did yesterday while I clean up, otherwise Lydia is going to help me prep for the party.
