Thursday Walk: Drought

This is the lot beside my building. For the next 18 months my windows
will be delivering noise and dust. In December, the block across the street
goes into development. It will last two years. I am in a respiratory war zone.
A very thirsty rhododendron. Pine cones are
falling green. Berries cannot mature due to
the lack of water. Trees are falling.
Silk Tree.

Former duck pond in the children's area of
the park. The water parks are closed.

This old checkers patio in the park is a real throw
back. Imagine needing viewing benches for an
outdoor checker patio.
Beaver Lake is completely covered in vegetation. It is
going to be dredged following public hearings.
