This is a movie I will watch. It’s my kind of film; it feels safe for me. I love films about children with happy endings.
I rose early, as usual, and I’m glad I did because the water for my hot tub, all 400 beautiful clear sparkling gallons of it, arrived at 7:45. And the good news is that all seems to be working with the heater and circulator. When the panel lit up, the water registered at a cool 50°. It will heat up over the course of the day to 102° Fahrenheit.
Once that was sorted, it was time to shower and then take Sheba for a walk so that she was settled while I had my session with Dr. Shoja. As always, my session with Dr. S. was wonderful. She is a Godsend. And once we were done, it was lunchtime, and then Her Highness and I went into the village to do some shopping and to renew my car insurance.
As much as I adore Grayson, I was very happy to have all yesterday to myself. I kept checking the hot tub. It increases in temperature by 5° every hour. As we drove into the village, I kept thinking about how great it was going to be to get into the spa late in the day.
The best part of the day: Napping in my reclining outdoor chair, my face loving the feel of sunshine. It was my first shot of sunbathing for the year. Heaven!
I didn’t get into the spa last night. I saved that thrill for first thing this morning, and oh, oh, oh, am I glad I did. I slid into the warmth giddy with the heat, the birdsong, the crystal clear water, the refreshing smell of morning, and the otherworldly silence. Sunrise in the spa. Yes!
And then I called Beth and Lynn in Montpelier! That was very exciting. It’s as close to being in France as I’ll ever get.
