Tuesday passed uneventfully. It was a dry day, so we went into the village and on the way, we took a short walk. Sheba’s foot seems to be healing well, and I have been successful with getting her medicine into her even though she hates the taste of it.
I can’t create copy for this blog very easily anymore because I do so very, very little. My big event of the day was meeting with Dr. Shoja. I really like her. I’ve always admired and respected her, but at the end of yesterday’s session I wished I could reach out and hug her. I was rather overwhelmed with affection.
I told her I hated people. It was a mistake that I’ll correct at our next session. I don’t hate people, I really love my friends, but I do find it challenging to be with people because I am so incredibly vulnerable. Almost all of literature and cinema is about the difficulty of getting along our intimates.
This morning, Sheba had a go at another foot. She chewed herself into a little blood bath on the sofa. Now two feet are down. I’m wondering if yeast might be the problem. I will know in another two weeks what the biopsy revealed. We’re both awaiting medical test results.
I finished all the Thursday Murder Club books and just loved both the books and the personalities of the main characters. What was wonderful was the humour of Richard Osman. Now I’m reading the Slow Horses series by Mick Herron, and what a brilliant writer he is. I am seriously enjoying the first of about nine novels of his that I’ll be reading.
