A Slow Week Gets Underway

Sunday, my day, all I wanted was a hot cosy home. There was more food in my house than I have ever had. I froze the remaining turkey because I have a lot of laksa left over. However, I was determined to get back on track with my diet. I’ve five more pounds to lose.

Saturday night was quite stormy. There was a lot of wind and I was worried that I’d lose power, but Pinecone Park got through the storm without any problems.

We didn’t walk in the morning. It was too wet, but as I spent time with my fellow BC stutterers on Zoom, the sky cleared, and the sun came out. It became another great day for my clover. When the Zoom session was over, Her Highness and I went for our first walk of the day, and when we came home we all had lunch.

I was cleaning out the fridge, and I found a leftover pizza slice from when Dianne and Beverly were here. End of my dieting yesterday. It was delicious and because it was My Day, I felt no guilt.

After the indulgence, the sunshine was calling me outside, but I was too tired, so I had a nap and then I felt up to taking Her Highness for another walk. We went to Elder Cedar, and we encountered two couples who were very friendly. We chatted together for probably twenty minutes. It was very nice. And when we came home, it was dinner and a movie time.

Today and tomorrow are likely to be mixed weather; it’s looking lovely out there this morning. The rains come starting on Wednesday. We’ll walk with our friends this morning, and this afternoon, former neighbours and lovely people, Kevin and Shelly are dropping by for a visit.

Rafflesia arnoldi can grow up to 22 lbs; it's the world's heaviest
flower. It can grow flowers that are up to 39 inches in diameter;
it's the largest single flower in the world. It blooms for only 3-5
days each year.
