Surgical Fix; Jay's Obit

I was out in the cold morning air to walk Her Highness just after 8:00. I wanted to walk her and get home in time to receive Jennifer’s call about my foot. When I got home, I’d received a message from the infusion pharmacy saying that my Tezspire for October is arriving on Friday.

Jennifer called as arranged and told me that I have calcium growths impeding the function of my Achillies tendon, so she is referring me to a podiatrist who is going to do some kind of very minor surgery. I’m grateful for the help that Jennifer and the podiatrist are offfering to me.

When Bev and Dianne arose, we all futzed about having breakfast and catching up on emails, then we got ourselves dressed and we went to Elder Cedar to walk in glorious sunshine. It was beautiful in the grove, especially where the sunlight penetrated the forest, shining beautiful light in the dense greenery of the grove.

We came home to make ourselves turkey sandwiches for lunch and to laze around. I had a brief nap while Bev and Dianne packed up their things to prepare for departure. Kelly texted me to confirm that she would meet me at The Surf for dinner at 17:00. I was very glad to hear from her.

Bev and Di left at 15:30, so Her Highness and I went for a walk together in lovely warm sunshine, but the air remained cool. As I walked, I started thinking about this coming Saturday when Eoin and François are coming for dinner (without Jay). I’m kind of dreading the meal without Jay, but we all chose to go ahead with the meal, and we’ll toast The Jayster.

I met Kely for dinner at The Surf and she asked me to write Jay's obituary. Her sister wrote one, but Kelly wasn't happy with it. She asked her friend Robin to take a crack at it but she was not happy with it, either. I was very happy she asked me and I promised to take a crack at it. I was pleased with the result of my work and Kelly loved it.

Thankfully I have all day today to rest. I must take my car in for brake work at 8:00, and then Regina is going to pick me up, we’ll fetch Sheba and go to meet our friends to walk together. And then, all the rest of the day, I’ll just chill and do as I please, for tomorrow I start preparations for the dinner.
