Sunday, oh Sunday. My Day, when “should” and “must” are banned from my mind. We walked nice and early when it was still cool and then it was time to get to work. Watering was easy and it was good to get it done in the morning before the high heat of the day. It was 25° at 10:00 am, so the afternoon, I knew, was going to be hot.
I got everything that I wanted to do, done, and then Her Highness and I went to Silva Bay so that I could have fish tacos and enjoy the music and all the people at the Sunday market which is more about things made than things to eat. It was really lovely there, we had a seat in the shade, and I had lots of water for Her Highness to drink.
Then we came home, and I had a nap before raking up all the cones in the edible garden. Then I took Sheba walking in Elder Cedar and came home to finish the watering of the trees in the front yard and the front garden beds. It was 32° when I got home ! I was finished for the day! And oh, how good it feels to stop and relax knowing that I’d done enough work to earn my couch time. I had a cold shower before settling in to watch the Tony Awards began.
I had a hard time hearing/understanding the entire broadcast and that really interfered with my enjoyment of the show. But there were things to love like Cole Escola winning best actor in a play!! I was explosively happy. There were some good speeches, but I don’t know the plays anymore, or the people, so the awards aren’t as exciting as they once were, but I loved all the numbers.
Today is another bright and sunny day. I shall putter in the garden.
