Pure joy in the Sydney Opera House. The audience is in rapture as this huge and magnificent choir perform. It’s wonderful to see a classical symphony perform with flowers in their hair and beaming smiles on their faces. (I saw the faces in another video of this same performance.)

In August, I decided to change my eating habits. I stopped eating sweets (except when I dine with friends) and I reduced the serving size of every meal. I quickly lost thirty pounds, and I have not regained any weight, nor will I. I knew from the get-go that this time I would not rebound because it feels so, so good to be a far more appropriate weight. And it helps my asthma to not be toting so much weight as I walk.
Luckily, the rain almost stopped for our walk with our friends yesterday morning, but only Regina joined me. The others chose to stay home, probably because they were certain pouring rain would return. But it didn’t. We walked without any rain, and I welcomed the change to give Her Highness a good long walk. And when we got back, it wasn’t long before it was lunch time. We all chilled all afternoon, and the evening was the usual.
Today, we celebrate a change in our weather pattern. We’re likely to get some sunshine today, rain tomorrow, and then a week of sunshine with partial clouds is predicted. And … and warm temperatures. Usually, with sunshine in Winter comes cold temperatures, but this mild Winter is thrilling me. My fuchsia is still blooming!
I go to the clinic today for two vaccinations: pneumonia and shingles. Otherwise, its just chillin’, readin’ and modest eatin’.
