I Shot Myself and it was GOOD!

By 7:00, light overhead cloud had given the morning a September feel. It was a very comfortable 14° when I had my morning spa, after completing all my morning tasks except watering, but I had lots of time for that. I wasn’t due to depart Pinecone Park until 10:00. I was glad to be so chill on a day that involved the ferry and driving on the highway. I always am nervous about going to Nanaimo, but I do like the adventure and getting out of the house.

I watered everything that I felt might need the dose to survive the day, and when we left, I felt confident that all my little floral buddies would be okay. I was grateful for the clouds! Not long before leaving for the ferry, Her Highness and I went for our morning walk. I must monitor her carefully now because she has developed a taste for deer poop. She ate a big batch on Thursday evening on our walk, so now I’m much more diligent about watching her.

We caught an earlier ferry than I wanted, but it got us onto the big island, and I knew I’d have no trouble passing time. We went to our favourite park and had a good long walk, I went to Services BC and got a security fob so that I can access my medical records online, and then we headed to the ferry terminal to fetch Steve. He was late; there was an accident on the highway, but he arrived, and I was relieved.

We went into town and had lunch after taking Sheba for a good walk. We ate outdoors and we were the only ones on the patio. And then we went to our favourite park to waste time until my appointment. We arrived at the clinic half an hour early, but the technician took me in immediately. She was very nice. She showed me how to give myself the shot and then I did it. It was wonderful because it is so easy. I felt no pain at all. It is a walk in the park to take, and it felt so, so good, so wonderful, to finally have this amazing drug in my body.

Once done, we headed for the ferry. No line up on a Friday night!!! While we were waiting for the ferry, Steve called Woodfire and ordered a pizza which we picked up on arrival back on Gabe. We ate shortly after getting home, watched some television and I went to bed and Steve went to his room to read.

Today is clear and bright. There is a hippy circus performing here today and there is a huge charity garage sale. Steve is interested in both events, I am interested in neither one, but we are both going to dinner at our favourite restaurant tonight, Mahle House, in Cedar on the big island.
