Blogger is Pissing Me Off!

Our Friday morning walk was really lovely. It was not too hot and we had a lot of laughs together as we walked. Shortly after we got home, Colleen arrived, and I showed her things that I wanted done. I was going to cancel her but I’m glad I didn’t. I think she’s a good fit. I don’t know why I was thinking otherwise. She works hard and I’m very happy with her. I think she’s going to be a great asset for me.

My bursitis was painful on Friday. It had been getting better, so I stopped icing it and walking with a stiff foot and now I’m paying the price.

Fedex arrived with my new Apple watch early Friday. I turned it on, and it asked me to put it near my iPhone to synch them. I called Apple to ask what to do, since I don’t have a watch and, to make a long story short, the sales lady we liked so much misinformed me. The phone requires a cell phone to work, so I they told me to return the watch. That proved difficult because there is a strike vote today at Canada Post so I can’t mail it, and UPS, which will accept the watch and return it for free, doesn’t service Gabriola, so I must go to Nanaimo yet again to return the watch.

The watch issue took up hours of time and I had blueberry harvesting to do, so out I went. And then I watered the front garden beds which did not take a lot of time. Then I went to the vet to see if they had hypoallergenic treats because my cats are not eating the hypoallergenic food very readily. They had treats but Fred and Ethel did not like them, but I did see signs of eating that brought me some relief.

It was feeding the kitties that made me realize that I had not eaten any lunch, but it was too late to eat, so I had a little snack and then Her Highness and I went for our afternoon walk. I hobbled along the entire route.

The day overtook me. I felt like I’d been on a treadmill all day and I wanted to chill, so when we came back from the walk, I did a little more blueberry harvesting and then I decided to spot-water in the backyard. Most plants seemed to be doing okay without another dousing. And when that was done, it was the usual: dinner and a movie.

I did the major watering after coming home from having breakfast and going for a walk with Stacy and our dogs.

I barely remember what I did on Saturday. But the day did get off with a bang at 7:00 am. I met Stacy at Round Up for breakfast and then we took our dogs for a walk. The rest of the day involved watering, blueberry harvesting and more long talks with Apple about returning my watch. The day ended, of course, with dinner and a movie.

Sunday got underway with an early morning walk in Drumbeg Park with Stacy and Otis. We met in the parking lot at 7:30 in the morning. It was a beautiful day and a beautiful time of day for a walk. It was lightly overcast and so I was blissful because it meant that I need not rush into watering the beds.

I just puttered around the house and yard all morning, and then I Zoomed with Dianne just before lunch. After we’d eaten, we went into the village to do some food shopping and to go to the nursery for fertilizer, then we came home and I checked all the plants and felt that they could go without me watering at all yesterday. Yipee!

The clouds lasted until 3:30 and that’s when Her Highness and I went for our afternoon walk. I had a spa when we came home and then it was time to feed the brood and enjoy dinner and a movie.

For the past two years, I have had a violent seizure when Steve has come to visit. This year was, by far, the worst seizure of my life. Seriously: Holy fuck, that was scary, feeling trapped inside a lifeless body. This issue will be the focus of my discussion with Dr. Shoja tomorrow.

Today, I will walk with our friends and water all the garden beds. After a day off from watering yesterday, I’m up for it today. The weather forecast has changed again. All the days of cloud and rain that were predicted to start tomorrow are gone. It’s predicted to rain on Wednesday and then the sun is likely to return and more hot days. Pooey.

For the past many, many months, I've had difficulty uploading images to this blog.  Blogger made some kind of change in its program, and this morning I've been unable to upload a single image. I'll keep trying, but I'm not feeling optimistic this morning.
