Tuesday was cloudy all day. I didn’t even touch a hose all day. I had the entire day to myself and all I did was nap and putter, but we did go into the village at one point to shop, and on the way home we played fetch in Rollo Park because it was cool enough for Her Highness to play without getting overheated.
Late in the evening, before we all went to bed, about ten drops of rain fell. Wel, it was better than nothing, but I went to sleep hoping for more. At about 3:00 am, Fred let out a blood curdling meow. I got up to check on him and he seemed fine. But what joy! I walked back to bed to the sound of rain on the roof!! Hooray!
When we rose this morning, it was still raining, and it continued to rain until 8:30. I lit a small fire to heat up the house figuring we’d be spending much of the day indoors when we got back from Nanaimo. And then I started getting things together to head to the ferry. I’ve got to go to UPS in Nanaimo to return the Apple watch.
But what a break to have rain. I get to enjoy another Summer day free of watering. By 9:00 there was a brief interlude of sunshine as we prepared to depart. As for fucking Blogger, I still cannot upload photos.
