Sunday began slowly with Bruce on his iPad and me at my computer. We diddled away a couple of hours having our breakfast and separately reading/watching things on the Internet. And then we went for a morning walk around my favourite meadow, filled up the car with gas and we did a drive about. We drove the circle route around the island, and I pointed out lots of things along the way.
When we got home, we had a short rest and then we went to Silva Bay for fish tacos and to visit the booths of artists and bakers. The music was particularly good, and we enjoyed trying to guess who originally sang each song. Bruce loved the tacos, and I splurged on donuts for us to share for dessert.
When we got home, Bruce showed me all the features of the Apple watch and then we watched various Broadway stars on YouTube until it was time to walk Sheba. And then we went to The Surf for dinner. The place was packed but there were more staff than I have ever seen before and so the evening was a total hit. It’s pub food there, so it ain’t fancy, but I saw several friends there. During the evening, I had two seizures. Of course I did; it’s de rigueur when I have company.
When we came home, we watched a great episode of Grand Designs and then we went to bed. We are both early to bed and early to rise. This morning we’ll putter the time away until it’s time to take Brucie to the ferry terminal around 10:40. I’ve had a great time with Bruce. Now it’s back to being solitary.
