Wednesday was sunny and bright. We began our day forest walking with our friends. I walked very slowly and got through the walk without any panting. Then we went shopping in the village before coming home for lunch. And then she lay down to rest, and I got busy with my chores.
In no time, it was time to get back on the road. I had to get more wood chips for Henri to use in the garden, and then Her Highness and I went for our afternoon walk and we happened on Lillian, a favourite dog friend of mine. Lillian is a gem of a dog. She’s a big loving sloppy wonderful Golden Lab. I absolutely love her.
On our way home, I stopped off at Sandi’s place because Baxter was out in the yard playing and he melts my heart. He’s a new puppy, full of love and energy and yesterday, I had my work gloves in the car because I used them at the nursery when I was shoveling chips, and they were perfect to have for playing with a teething puppy.
Then we were home for the night. By 3:30 it had clouded over and as the clouds thickened, it got darker and felt more and more like rain was coming. But hey, our day was done, and we were warm and cozy inside with a fire and the TV was raring to entertain me until it was time for bed.
After a clear night that allowed Mother Earth to chill, today dawned clear and bright, but by 8:00 am, it had clouded over this cold island. This morning, Jake and Noor come back to tackle fixing my stove. I’m typing with crossed fingers.
