Saturday was wet. Our morning walk was fairly dry, it was only gently remaining, but it rained harder all day, so it was rubber pants time for the afternoon walk. I tried to read but can’t. I haven’t read for a week. It seems like my capacity for concentration is dead.
There were several naps yesterday, and a fair bit of time wasting on the Internet. And then, at 3:30, Peggy, a technician with Lifeline, came with my new alarm that will call for help if I fall. And then it was R&R for the remainder of the day and evening.
And today is My Day. It is, of course, raining. Last year was the wettest we’ve had in a century and so far, this year, it has rained every day. But it is mild, and that is a godsend.
Today, like yesterday, will be a very slow day. When it is dark and wet, being warm and cozy is positively thrilling.
