Bomb Cyclone Incoming

Saturday was a total shit day outside, but inside my clean and tidy home was paradise. I kept a lovely warm fire going all day, and I looked forward to installing myself beside it to read during every second of our soaking wet walks. I love being indoors, cosy and warm with all the pets, on days like yesterday.

I met Paula for coffee at 10:00 and we had a grand time reminiscing. There’s nothing better than getting together with old theatre pals. But poor Paula, she must have both her hips replaced and they’re going to both hips at the same time. Ugh! After saying goodbye, I did some shopping in the village and then came home to feed the brood and to enjoy a wonderful, relaxing afternoon at home.

Sunday was sunny and bright for most of the day, and today has dawned as bright, but when it’s clear overnight and sunny during the days, it gets colder and so I keep the fire up all the time now. I did nothing all day, but Sheba and I took two walks together, and one of them involved a hill and was long (but slow).

And now here we are at the start of another week. I’ve an ASL activity today and tomorrow. Plus, I get my flu and Covid shots tomorrow morning, and so I may feel punk on Wednesday. Everyone I know who gets their shots this time, hurts or feels sick the next day.

Henri is here today and I am on the chaise for the balance of the day. Hooray! tomorrow we've been told to expect a 'bomb cylone.' Geez, I wonder what that's going to be like!
