It's Almost Over

The highlight of Monday was how well Sheba was walking. She still has her bandage on her foot, and I put a rubber boot over it when we go out, but it is wonderful to be able to walk her on short walks and to see her walking quite well.

We did a short morning walk and then we went into the village to shop. When we got home, it was lunchtime and everyone was fed, and then I got on the chaise to read. Right now, I have the bone spur problem on my left foot, and my right leg is very painful where the wood fell on it. It’s brutal changing the bandage because it’s so hard to stop the blood flow. Sigh.

I reckon that I’ve got everything I need for our Christmas dinner. I’m going to make the cranberry sauce today, I think, and maybe a pie for our dessert. I called Paula and we’ve decided to start cooking early on Christmas morning so that we can have our big meal mid-day—maybe around 14:00. That way, we have our evening free for movies and relaxation, and for dinner we can snack on the leftovers.

Last evening was the usual.

I see Dr. Shoja this morning at 11:00. The rest of the day will likely be baking and cooking. Paula arrives tomorrow at 15:00.
