What a week this is going to be. I sat at my desk all day Monday —
and it was a long day. It started at 5:00 am and I didn’t stop until 8:00 pm. As
a playwright, I may not be brilliant but I am driven.
I was re-writing scene three … and I got it done — not in an entirely
satisfactory form, but I did it. And I have six more days to work on it before
the Arts Club deadline on Monday. I
plan to go through the entire script every one of those days. Then, at the end
of each day, I’ll relax by working on the fortune cookie dress that I’ve come
to love.
I’m putting my all into this effort to impress the Arts Club.
I’ve used just under a thousand chopsticks on the fortune cookie
dress and I only have a few more fancy paper fortune cookies to add to it. It
looks nothing like what I imagined but it works.
I still have hope. Not confidence, just hope — but that’s good
enough to keep me moving forward. It is definitely flatter (not as funny) but it
might be better — who knows? Colin’s major concern was that Charlotte didn’t
learn anything. She does now.
Six more days.
