This is What It Has Come To
I have several of these little notices in my wallet now in case I have to speak to someone. And when I say "no voice," it is not an exaggeration, nor is it an easy adaptation. I used the word "aphasia" and "allergies" because it is the best guess so far from my lung team, but I still have no true diagnosis. That will come soon. My appointment is Tuseday the 23rd.
Today I have accepted that it is not going to come back any time soon. Hence the little signs I carry. Ironically, I have felt, at times, like I wanted to talk to someone about being so sad because I have cancelled every single appointment I have for the next two weeks.
