Okay: It’s not finished but you get the idea. The back
is on the left and the front is on the right. The pole has to be decorated and
the bottom pieces have to be raised to match the angle of the tops. This dress
is odd, I know, and not pretty but it is perfect for its role in the play —
trust me.
I got through
Thursday even though I had too much to do: Fishboy came in the morning; coffee
with Christine (my friend the wigmaker); blood tests at St. Paul’s; doweling from
Michael’s; t-shirts from Purolator and ending with a visit to Bruce. I got home
fried.
After a rest
once back at home, I got to work on the mounting of the defiant dress (see
above). I’m very excited about finally seeing it assembled; it took longer to
make than any other dress and I’m still not finished. I have to put the straps
on and decorate the pole and then it’s done.
Dwight is
unhappy with the angle, as am I. He may help me improve it next week. The mess
making, however, is over — at least until I undertake the final dress.
Today I have
lunch with Dwight and later I’ll go to visit Bruce.
