To Nanaimo

The water is gone from my yard and thank God for that. Also, my emergency alarm is working again, and that makes me feel secure again. What a storm that was! It was our third ‘atmospheric river’ this Fall. In the past two days, we had as much rain as we normally get in one Autumn month. This, after the worst drought we’ve ever had this past Summer.

Today is sunny and bright … and cool. I’m heading off to Nanaimo to do some pet and paper supply shopping. Our ferry is working on a reduced schedule today; they are adapting our terminals for the two new ships that will replace Quinam this coming Spring.
